Recently, my friend had introduced me to a song that she had heard on a internet radio platform that stopped her in her tracks. What song was that you ask? Well, it was a Mary Lambert two part song that's called, "Body Love"

This is beautiful and easily relatable This song makes me realize how song lyrics can easily become poetry or vice versa. I got goosebumps after listening to this deep message and it took me back to when I was angsty teen. I  hated the way I looked. I remember feeling like I'd never find someone to love me in return. Also, I remember crying in the dressing rooms and avoiding looking in most mirrors so for comfort, I'd put on a black jacket to hide myself. Now, as an adult, I'll admit there are still days were loving myself for what I have and who I am isn't easy but, I know that the key to happiness is to to change my way of thinking and to not make bitterness my default.

It will get better.
