Ever feel uninspired? How about feeling like life is dull and that we're only living to work and pay taxes. Well, it is definitely a big part of the cycle of life and we all know we can't all live forever. The older we get the more we want to preserve our youth. Since the passing of my mom, one of the takeaways I've learned from her is to enjoy the simple things in life and don't take life so seriously. That right there was very empowering to me because when I was a teen I was the type that would bottle up all of my emotions and always and if something was out of place I was on the verge of getting ulcers in my stomach and I remember going to the doctors so many times because of this. Also, as I mentioned in another post I was more of a home-body than a someone who wanted to travel. I was the type of person who just wanted to go from point A to point B. I'm still working on that part of myself and I'm trying to muster up the courage to travel by another transportation other than my car.

Anyway, The reason I talked about my past teen self is because recently I listened to this song on the radio and it brings back that time of my life and it made me think on how much progress I've made since then. In this case I can say, the grass is really greener on the other side. Yes, life is full of ups and downs but from my experience, I don't know if I would have appreciated my better moments in life if I didn't have my not so great moments.

The song I listened to is called Open Your Eyes by Victory
