Retail Me.... not(pt. 1)

I thought I briefly would talk about my experience in retail. Honestly, I wouldn't say I've had to deal with horrible customer attitudes. it's more of the aftermath of the when customers are shopping.
Well, it was a bit different at my first job because, since I was always at the cash register, all of my situations happened there. For instances, those who personally know me know that I don't like to mix business with pleasure.
With that said, I'm the type that tends not to date or flirt with customers. The reason for me saying that is important to what I'm about to say next. A older guy started flirting with me and had asked me out to dinner and drinks after my closing shift. I froze up but eventually made up an excuse so he wouldn't continue on. Keep in mind that I wasn't even 21 yet. The guy even said he'd wait outside the store until my shift was over. If that doesn't sound unnerving then what if I told you he didn't even know what time my shift ended. Thank goodness I had a security guard escort me to my car just in case he actually stayed (which he didn't).
Moreover, one of my more positive moments at my first job which if I didn't mention was Ross ( store that has discounted clothes, pet supplies, and housing goods) was when I was ringing up the items for a woman and her daughter around the age of 6 who had been carrying around some sort of princess/fairy wand, I noticed that the little girl was staring at me without blanking for quite some time. The paranoid part of myself was thinking that maybe something was on my face or clothes but I was certainly wrong. This girl literally said "mommy look she's a princess. She's a beautiful princess." The mother and I looked at each other and then at the daughter and giggled. As crazy as that seemed that made my day because it was something out of the ordinary to hear that you would find a "princess" working in a discounted store.
I'm not trying to feed my ego or anything but I just remember wanting to be a princess (as I am sure most littler girls want to be) so for that little girl to say such a thing just left me remembering that moment working there.
